Fine Arts

Hello, Welcome to 4th grade fine arts; in class, we will learn the colors associated with a season and how it is based on the weather. By learning about the seasons, students will be able to see how the weather can impact the colors we wear in a particular season. Students will be able to connect this with their daily lives.

Task:

Students will watch a video on seasons and look at the colors observed in the video. Students will watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk4-6II8l5Q and focus on the colors associated with each season. The students will be separated into groups and assigned a season. The students will then create on paper a piece of realism art based on the assigned season, using watercolors, or wax colors.  Students will create a presentation showing their artwork and their explanation of the art. They will use https://www.canva.com/.

Process:

Students will be presented in a day with a video based on the colors of the seasons. On that same day, they will be shown different forms of realism art. They will have 3 days to work on their artwork. At the end of the week being,  Friday they will present their canvas presentations to the class.

Evaluation:

Students will be assessed on their use of color and its association with the season. They will also be assessed on their effort of art, use of blending, and realism.
